Senior Practitioner  – CH&F – Referral & Assessment Team - Thurrock

Our client in Thurrock is looking for Senior Practitioner to join the busy Referral and Assessment team.  The team covers all of referral and assessment including duty work and initial investigations.

Your main duties will include:

  • Carrying out complex child protection investigations in line with section 47 including attendance
  • Supervising Social Workers
  • Presenting at Strategy Meetings
  • Quality assuring and authorisation of referral and single work assessments
  • Progression of children to LAC following Police Protection
  • Attending Legal Planning Meetings
  • Viability Assessments
  • Attending Initial Child Protection Conferences with Social Workers
  • Chairing Core Group Meetings & CIN Meetings
  • Duty once every 3 weeks

You will need to have post qualifying experience (preferably in a similar team), and hold HCPC registration.
